Ann R. Tharpe, 79, wife of the late Lynward Tharpe, entered into rest Friday, November 4, 2022, at her home.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Chaplain Bob Taylor officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Tharpe, daughter of the late Christina Mae White Sloan and Otis Glenn Sloan, was a member of Jubilee Fellowship and was a homemaker. She was born in West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deanna Lee.
She is survived by her sons, Donald Tharpe (Tammy A.) and Michael E. Tharpe, Sr.; her grandchildren, Kasie Tharpe, Candice Tucker (John), and Michael E. Tharpe, Jr. (Jessica); her great grandchildren, Madison Tucker, Gracelyn Tucker, Addyson Mae Tharpe, Grayson, Landon, Brentyn "B", and Bryce; and her sisters in law, Linda Jesup and Shirley Chavous.
Pall bearers will be Michael Tharpe, Jr., Stacy Reese, Scott Tharpe, Sean Tharpe, Terry Young, and Justin Durham.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Tharpe, Sr. and Don Tharpe.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Krystal Braswell and Linda Jesup for their care during her illness.
