Rockport – Richard Allen James passed away on December 30, 2022. He was 62. Rick was born June 15, 1960 to Johnny B. and Billie Juanita (Tracey) James. He was a resident of Rockport, Texas for the last 17 years. Rick was self-employed and owned many businesses in the area. He worked under Grace Allen Enterprises. Rick was a compassionate individual, admired by many, a great leader, a successful business man, an entrepreneur, and a very humble man. In life and in his businesses, he placed God first. Rick was a very loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents: Johnny and Billie Juanita James; brothers: Billy Claude Woolard and John James; sisters: Ana Charlene Sims, Tracy Lea Trevino, Diana Newcomer and Judy Pike.
He is survived by his loving wife: Grace O. James from Rockport, Texas; daughter: Kylie R. James from Rockport, Texas; brother: Steven James from the Dallas area; sister: Renna Shafer from San Benito, Texas.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, January 4, 2023, 12:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas. The Funeral Service will be held on January 4, 2023, 1:00 PM with Pastor Lenn Olivarez officiating. Burial will follow in Aransas Memorial Park, Rockport, Texas.
