AUSTIN S. EGGLESTON, 81, died last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Van Tassel in Cicero. A life resident of Cicero, he was a hardware merchant since 1906. Two years ago he retired due to ill health. Mr. Eggleston served as chief of the Cicero fire department many years. He was a member of Centerville lodge, F&AM, 648, of Cicero IOOF, 907, of Cicero Rebekah lodge, 504. Surviving, besides his daughter, are a son, Forrest Eggleston; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, all of Cicero. Services will be at 3.30 p.m. Friday in the Sears funeral home, North Syracuse. Burial will be in North Syracuse cemetery. Friends may call this evening and tomorrow afternoon and evening.
