Martha Mae "Marty" (Lambert) Spake, 88, of Burkburnett, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 1, 2023 after complications of a broken hip.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2023 in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett with Mr. Jay Driskill, officiating. Interment will follow at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.
Marty was born on October 21, 1934 in Three Forks, West Virginia to Frank and Armilda (Nester) Lambert. She married the love of her life, Melvin Spake in 1954 in Enid, Oklahoma, and to this union four children were born, Crystal, Brad, Danny and Greg. They made their home in Enid, Oklahoma and Burkburnett. Marty retired after 30 years of service with United Supermarket.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin; a daughter, Crystal Perez; and eight brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Brad and Sherrie Spake of Abilene, Danny and Susan Spake of Wichita Falls, and Greg and Lana Spake of Temple, Oklahoma; her sister-in-law, Wanda Nachtwey of Papillion, Nebraska; ten grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
