Ken put his heart and soul into his community, volunteering at the schools, serving as councilman for 20 plus years and becoming City Administrator for four years.
After attending the University of Toledo, Ken went to work for Owens-Illinois as a sales & marketing manager, then a manager of graphic arts. Retiring after 31 years with O-I, Ken went on to work 12 years for the IRS as a taxpayer resolution representative.
Kenny was a life-long member of All Saints Catholic Church where he served as chairman of the Finance Committee, Lector and treasurer for the Knights of Columbus. Golfing and playing cards were his true passion. Later in life he picked up "puzzler" to occupy his time with family and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Eugene Kovach and Mary Rady; brother, Dennis Gwozdz; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Gene Kovach; brother-in-law, Joseph Kovach; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Gwozdz and Sara Gwozdz; grandson, Gideon Gwozdz; and son-in-law, Dave Reamsnyder.
He is survived by his brother, Richard Gwozdz; daughters, Gigi Reamsnyder and Kris (Dan) Creps; son, Kenneth Robert (Pam) Gwozdz, Jr.; nephew, Joseph (Diana) Kovach; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.
Friends and family will be received at Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road, Rossford, Ohio, on Friday, January 6, 2023, from 2-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at All Saints Catholic Church, 628 Lime City Road, Rossford, Ohio, from 9-10 a.m. with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Ft. Meigs Union Cemetery.
