Mr. Hopkins was the son of the late Caroline and Samuel Hopkins. He was a member of the Aaron Chapel United Methodist Church, Sharptown, Rock Hall, and the Church's Methodist Men's group.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Hopkins; three daughters, Mrs. Joyce Scott, Mrs. Dorothy Johnson, Mrs. Vermatine Thompson; four sons, Samuel Hopkins, William Hopkins, Haston Hopkins and Leemond Hopkins; 33 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Kenneth Walley Funeral Home, Chestertown, Wednesday evening, January 13 from 7 to 9.
The Rev. Paul Hilton will conduct funeral services at Aaron Chapel United Methodist Church, Sharptown, Rock Hall, Thursday, January 14. Interment will be in the nearby cemetery.
