He was born August 4, 1936 in Noble County, son of the late Charles Somers and Mary Elizabeth (Gregg) Somers. A graduate of Batesville High School, Jim owned & operated the Seneca Bait Shop for over sixty years.
He enjoyed gardening and cooking. Jim was a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Louise DeLong. He is survived by three nephews and two nieces.
No calling hours will be observed. Graveside services and burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday (December 30, 2022) at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City, with Evan. Mark Beros officiating.
