Betty Ardell Scott, 81, of Man, formerly of Lundale, went to her heavenly home Wednesday, November 14, 2007, from Logan Regional Medical Center after a long illness. She was born July 2, 1926, in Logan County, a daughter of the late Arthur Tim and Lina Ball Craddock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Kenneth Scott; one daughter, Brenda K. Gibson; an infant daughter, Lina Scott; one infant grandson, Ralph Todd Gibson; and two sisters, Blanche Vance and Nora June Wood. Ardell was a home maker. She was a member of the Accoville United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service. Ardell loved to make crafts, crochet, knit, and do cross word puzzles. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Ardell will always be in our hearts no matter where we are. Those left to cherish her memory are her son-in-law, Ralph E. Gibson of Man with whom she made her home; one grandson, Timothy Scott Gibson and his wife, Kelly, of Man; one great-grandson, Taylor Ryan Allen Gibson of Man; two great-granddaughters, Harlie Dawn Rhiennan Gibson and Baylee Brooke Lei Gibson, both of Man; one brother, Ishmael Craddock of Lake; several nieces and nephews; a special care giver, Vicky Toler of Robinette; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2007, at the Accoville United Methodist Church at Accoville with Rev. Norman Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the Accoville United Methodist Church and one hour prior to services at the church also. Pall bearers will be family and friends.
