Beverly Skinner Wykle Smeltzer, 87, passed away peacefully the morning of July 17, 2021 in Virginia Beach, VA. She was born August 16, 1933 in Nansemond County, Virginia to loving parents Emmitt C. Skinner and Lillie Parker, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Whaleyville High School in 1950.

She was predeceased in death by her loving husband John L. Smeltzer and former husband Vance Wykle; Son David Wykle and Daughter-in-Law Janet Wykle.

She leaves behind her loving sons Randy Judson Wykle and Charles Glenn Wykle (wife Paula) and Daughter in Law Lili Wykle. Along with Grand-Children – Ashleigh, Charlie (wife Casey), Kristin, Justin, Paige, Joshua (wife Elizabeth), and Jesse (wife Ashley). Great Grand Children – Morgan, Kaitlyn, August and Judson.

Beverly was a devoted Navy wife and mother, who had many accomplishments in life that she was proud of including being a member of the Optimist Club, R.O.W.S. (Retired Officers Wives Society), Hampton Roads Republican Party, and volunteering at Sentara Virginia Beach Hospital. She was an active member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Norfolk, VA. She was the prior director of Charm Associates Modeling Agency.

A viewing will be held on Monday July 26th at 10:30 a.m., at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 2002 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia. A 11:00 a.m. funeral service will be held that morning at the same location. The family will be having a private burial service immediately following in Suffolk, VA.
