He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandra Barham; son, Chris (wife Lori) Barham and grandsons, Thomas and Nicholas Barham.
Edward was respected professionally as a Horse Show judge for his knowledge, integrity and honesty. In addition to judging, he trained and showed horses for several decades. In 1961, he moved to Westfield, IN and established a nationally known breeding and training operation. He was Director of the Indiana State Fair, a 1991 inductee of the Horseman's Hall of Fame at the Kentucky State Fair, an inductee of the Indiana Horsemen's Hall of Fame, named Horsemen of the Year by the United Professional Horsemen's Association - Chapter 11 and was a commissioned a Kentucky Colonel.
Services were entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center of Carmel Indiana.
