Ernest was born November 7, 1948 in Carroll County, VA to Earnest Gwyn and Guida Alma Cox Bobbitt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Bobbitt.
He is survived by two sisters, Yvonne Myers of King and Maxine Joyce of Lexington.
Graveside services will be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Independence, VA.
