Mark Joseph Angerer
February 7, 1954 - December 24, 2022

Mark Joseph Angerer, 68, of Marion, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 24, 2022, after a long battle with cancer.

Mark was born in DeWitt, Iowa, on February 7, 1954, the son of Jerry and Lois (Blanche) Angerer. He graduated from LaSalle High School, Cedar Rapids, in 1972. Following graduation, Mark worked as a mechanic at Novak's Auto before becoming a Union Electrician Journeyman. Mark had a love of dogs, horses, and motorcycles. He enjoyed canoeing and camping trips, including many adventures to the Colorado Rocky Mountains with friends.

Mark was a good brother who liked to tease but (usually) in a fun way. He was his younger sibling's favorite babysitter. It often involved big bowls of ice cream, staying up late, and racing in boxes down the carpeted stairs. Mark was not always the best influence, but he sure was fun! He had a big heart and was always there for his family and friends.

Surviving a re his siblings, Steve, Danette, Sue (Jim) Guy, Anne, and Jenifer (Paul Sueppel) Angerer, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and Dawn (Dan) Thomas Pruisman and their children.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Debbie and Mary Michelle.

If you would like to remember Mark, please raise a Miller Lite (or Bacardi and Coke) to toast a great brother, son, uncle, and friend.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of donor's choice.
