Frances Adelia Shelton Kagan, 98, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 7 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2008, at the Carlisle Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2008, also at the Chapel, with burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

Frances was born in Hubbard, Texas, to the late Edwin Runin and Mary Adelia Casady Shelton. She was a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Martin Kagan; daughter, Dr. Kathleen Shelton Kagan-Hallet; and son, Tomas Martin Kagan; and infant brother, Edwin.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Kagan Tobias and husband, Paul, of Nashville, Tenn.; nephews, Dr. Abbott Kagan II and wife, Sheila, and Dr. John Kagan and wife, Elizabeth, all of Fort Myers, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Kagan Wight and husband, Chad, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; son-in-law, Earl F. Hallet, of Boerne, Texas; two step-grandchildren; four great-nephews; two great-nieces; one great-great-nephew; and a host of cousins; cherished friends include Veronica J. Frakes, Carolyn Lloyd, Jane Mathews, Dr. and Mrs. James Andre, Nel Monteith, Mrs. N.L. Postlewaite, Lori Castle, Joanna deVries, Dr. and Mrs. Fletcher Hahn, Prince Pierce, Monte Haley, Patty Rovang, Agnes Eastwood, Dorothy Rose White, Carol and Morton Klein, Alma and Levi Hoffman, and Helen and Joe Quirk.
