Samuel was born in Dutch Forks, Newberry, SC. His parents were John B. and Mary Magdelena "Molly" Clapp Bundrick. Dutch Forks was an area in SC where German immigrants settled.
His mother Mary's father was Joseph Clapp.
His father's parents were John Nicholas Bundrick and Anna Maria Mullerin. Nicholas as he was called, came to America arriving in Pennsylvania on a ship "Friendship" on 12 Oct 1741 from Rotterdam. He came from the Germany side of Switzerland border. His ancestors were to have been from Switzerland originally. Nicholas was listed on the ships passenger list as Nicklas Bundry. His ancestors name was supposedly Bundricjo in Switzerland.

Samuel and family members left Sc and migrated to Crawford County, Ga. His brother William Bundrick married Judie E. Spiller on 23 Nov 1852. William died shortly after marriage.
Judie Spiller Bundrick and Samuel were married the following 10 Nov 1853' Crawford County, Ga.
Some of their children were born in Crawford County, Ga. before they migrated further west to Texas, probably arriving about 1860.
They settled in Cherokee County, Texas. (town unknown)
They had the following children;
1. William Lee b. 1854 Ga. Buried; Wimberly, Texas.
2. Nancy Jane b. 1856 Ga.
3. David Franklin b. 1858 Ga. (Samuel W. Bundrick Link)
4. James Madison b. 1860 Tx.
5. Mary Elizabeth b. 1861 Tx. m. John R. Kelley, widowed at 17, Remarried; William M. Reed.
6. Samuel Jackson b. 1862 Tx. m. Allie Blackmon.
7. Judie E. b. 10 Mar 1862 Tx.
Isabell J, was shown on the Family Bible page to have been born 8 Oct 1862. Do not know if her name was Isabell Judith
and she was called Judie or what. Or if they are not the same person. The birthday of the two are two different months.
