Thomas Carter Burleson, passed away on September 16, 2020 at the age of 83. Tommy or "Tom Cat", as he was known, was born July 15, 1937 in Buda, Texas to Warren and Addielou Carter Burleson.

Following graduation from Buda, High School in 1955, Tommy joined the Navy and served until 1967, including 4 years overseas or at sea. He was discharged at Naval Communications Station Washington, DC and he joined the Prince George County Sheriff's office in Maryland becoming a Law Enforcement officer for a number of years. After some years, Tommy returned to Texas to help his father raising crops on his Central Texas farm. Soon, he started driving 18 wheelers, then driving a tour bus for several different companies in the Austin and San Antonio area.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, his bother Harold Burleson, his sister Rhonda Burleson, his son Freddie Burleson, grandsons Ryan and Rhett Mallory and granddaughter Hope Avery Burleson.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sandra Burleson; his daughter, Tommielee Burleson, step-children Brenda Mallory, Debra Henrichs, Ty Henrichs, Jack Butler and Lisa Avanilla; plus, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a nepheW.
