Evans, Mary Hyatt (nee Abbe'), age 92, passed away, Wednesday, December 21, 2022. She was born February 1, 1930 in Washington DC, a daughter of Edward Prescott and Mary (nee Hyatt) Abbe'. Mary graduated from George Washington University and went on to work for the National Geographic Magazine. She and her husband, Thomas Fitz-Hugh Evans had been married 70 years when he passed away September 7, 2022.
She is the loving mother of Kathy (Stan) Dampier, Tom Evans, Jr., and John (former wife Heather) Evans, and loving grandmother of Cole and Katie Evans.
Services: Memorial service at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Saturday, January 7, 2023, 11:30 a.m. Interment at Bellerive Gardens will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to United Cerebral Palsy Heartland. Memorial visitation Saturday 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
