Marion Rufus Aycox, 97 of Gainesville, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at NTMC in Gainesville, Texas. He was born on March 2, 1925, in Healdton, Oklahoma to Clint Aycox and Annie (Reaves) Aycox. He married Josephine Lowery on April 7, 1947, in Cooke County, Texas. After Josephine passed way, he later married Louise Jones on June 11, 1997, in Cooke County, Texas. He worked many years as a Mechanic and did electronic repairs. He was also an avid ham radio operator. He was a member of Jehovah Witness. Marion was a very loving man.
Marion is survived by his six sons, Leslie Aycox and wife, Dinah of Meeker, Oklahoma; Arnold Aycox and wife, Karen of Valley View, Texas; Virgil Aycox and wife, Kathy of Valley View, Texas; Ken Aycox and wife, Ann of Sherman, Texas; Dale Aycox and wife, Donna of Gainesville, Texas; Orville Aycox and wife, Lorrie of Gordonville, Texas; sister, Inez Bray and brother, Lonnie Aycox; 18 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.
Marion was preceded in death by his parents, Clint & Annie Aycox; son, Eddie Lowery and granddaughter, Becky Colwell; brothers R. T. Aycox, Clint Aycox, Nevlin Aycox, Kirby Aycox and sister, Geraldine Webb.
Funeral Services will be held via Zoom, Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 2:00 pm. Burial services will be held, Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta, Oklahoma at 2:00 pm.
