PENNINGTON, Doris Cadd, 65, of Friendship Manor, formerly of Chamblissburg, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 6, 2001. She was born December 2, 1935 in Botetourt County to the late William and Elsie Cadd. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie C. Davis. She is survived by her children and spouses, Steve and Leah Campbell of Suffolk, Shyrl and Daniel Robtison of Boones Mill, Kevin Campbell of Roanoke, Darla Hatcher of Springwood; grandchildren, David Alexander, Steven Campbell, Travess Hatcher, Joey Hatcher; two great-grandchildren, Harlie and Hunter Alexander; a special twin sister, Ruby G. Shires of Troutville; sisters, Jimmie Bobbitt and husband, Bob of Maryland, Macil Noell, Irene Backman, Glenna Noell and husband, Wendell, all of Buchanan; a brother, Bill Cadd and wife, Ruth of Buchanan; special grand-niece, Amber Nicole; also many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Vinton Chapel 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2001 with the Rev. Frank Feather officiating. Interment will be in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
