Mary Louise Anderson, 97, of Nocona, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 17th. Mary was born on December 2, 1925 in Pocahontas, AR to Roy and Erna Glasco. She married Robert T. (Andy) Anderson on December 9, 1944 until his death in 1991.
Mary and Andy lived the majority of their married life in North Carolina, Georgia, Texas and Florida where Andy worked in the produce and seafood industry. Mary moved to Carrollton, TX to be with her son, Bob, and daughter, Jane, in 2017.
Mary was active while living in Sun City Center, FL, where she played golf and performed in their dance group, The Follies. She experienced almost a century of life, and she loved every minute of it. She was considered a prankster and the life of any party by entertaining and always telling jokes.
Mary is survived by her son, Bob and wife, Janice, of Nocona, TX; two granddaughters, Lisa and husband, Zane Dowty and children, Claudia and Sara, of Centennial, CO; Amy and husband, Chris Jantz, and their children Grayson and Mia of Carrollton, TX; one niece, Mary and husband, Lee Johnson, of Asheville, NC and two great-nieces and two great-nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andy; and daughter, Jane Garibay; her sister, Carolyn Duggan; and nephew, Tommy Duggan. A private family service will be held at a later date.
