Visitation with the family, 6:00-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 21; Service, 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 22, both at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Richard was born in Yates Center, KS, grew up in Quincy, KS, and was 72 years old when he died. He started his work career in the oilfield and later founded his business, Dawson Sales, Inc., buying and selling used industrial equipment. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde E. Dawson, mother, Audra Turner, and sister, Dorothy Bonham.
