Wm. H. Bircket, son of Thomas and Harriet Bircket, was born 12/27/1827 in Edward Co. and died at his daughter, Mrs. G.H. [Lottie] Mann in Chicago. He married Lucinda Forbes 6/14/1863. They had 8 children. Four survive: Mrs. C.B. [Ida] Wilson of Fairfield; Mrs. Mann of Chicago; Mrs. Lester [Bessie] Woodhouse of Caldwell, Idah and Arthur of Portland, Oregon. 3 died in infancy and Bertha died at age 17. He leaves six brothers, Edison, Eldon and Louis of Kansas, Watson and Walker of Bone Gap and Jefferson of Cisne.
