Rose Marie Tressler, age 98, of Newark, DE, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, died on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at home.

Rose was born in South Philadelphia where she lived until moving to Delaware. She worked as a seamstress for Alfred d'Angelo, Brown Brothers, and was a pattern maker. She was a long-time member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Newark. In her spare time she liked to dance, bowl, roller skate and play cards.

In addition to her parents Dominic and Assunta Mastripolito, Rose was predeceased by her husband Ark in 1986 and son Paul in 2002, as well as three brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her children Arthur and wife Linda of Newark, Joseph and wife Jane of Middletown, DE, and Raymond and life partner George of Manassas; daughter-in-law Darlene of Elkton, MD; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 27 from 1-2 pm at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808 with a funeral service at 2 pm. Interment will follow the service in All Saints Cemetery.
