Graveside service for Betty Taylor, age 87, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Como Cemetery with Rev. Don Tinsley officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. on Thursday, December 15th at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Taylor passed away on Tuesday December 13, 2022 at her home.

Betty Jean was born on October 17, 1935 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Burrell and Mamie (Harlow) Gibbons. She married Jonnie "J.P" Taylor Sr. in Sulphur Springs, on February 18, 1955. He preceded her in death in 2008. Betty was a cook at Herschels and Big H, she was also a homemaker. Betty was a member of Central Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son J.P Taylor Jr and wife, Linda; grandchildren, Melissa Taylor, Steven Taylor and wife, LaShonda, great grandchildren, Cody, Claira, Brittney, Miranda, Rhyder.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters and three brothers.
