~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Herbert J. Wines was the son of Henry J. Wines and Nannie Chadwell.
Herbert J. Wines was married to Lula May Manuel Miller, widow of C.T. Miller and daughter of George Washington Manuel and Roberta Martin Manuel after her first husband, C.T.'s death. Herbert was a beloved step-grandfather to his wife's grandchildren. He will be remembered as a quiet unassuming gentleman who was kind and generous. Although this marriage did not produce any children, Herbert helped raise Lula's children and her granddaughter, Margretta. His step-neice, Helen Manuel Coleman recalled with affection his extreme kindness and generousity as she was growing up when he always made sure she always would be included in family trips and made sure she would get new clothes just like he would buy for his own step-children.
His stepson's wife, Hazel Wines Miller, recalled how thoughtful Herbert was in making sure she and the children would get to Sunday School and Church on Sunday morning. His kindness will never be forgotten.
