Martha Jones was born in Jefferson county, Ohio, January 17, 1838, died March 24, 1910, at her home near Tonganoxie, Leavenworth county, Kansas.
She was united in marriage to Ross Adams, March 14, 1861. To this union eleven children were born.
The husband and six children survive her; five of the children having died in infancy.
She was united with the Presbyterian church when at about the age of twenty years.
For many years she lived in Indiana and Illinois, moving to Kansas in 1880 and settling in Leavenworth county.
