Edward Chambers was christened 10 October 1779 in Boughton-Malherbe, Kent, son of John and Margaret Chambers.
Siblings included Sarah (1765), Christopher (1767), John (1770), Anne (1774), and Mary Ann (1776). Edward was the youngest child. His mother died 10 October 1779, presumably in childbirth.
Edward married Sarah Sedgewick 19 October 1804 at Lenham, Kent. Sarah was born 12 August 1787 at Little Chart, Kent. Her parents were John and Susannah (Betts) who married 15 Jun 1774 at Little Chart, Kent. Sarah's siblings were Mary (1774), John (1777), Susannah (1779), William (1782 and James (1784).
