Mrs. Jos. M. Petersime (Susie Leiter), 59, of Covington, former Lewisburg resident, died Friday noon in the Piqua Memorial hospital, following amputation of the right leg Thursday afternoon. She had been in failing health for three years and a week before the amputation, she developed a blood clot in the leg which was diagnosed as due to gangrene in the blood stream. A little over a year ago, she had also undergone a goiter operation.

Funeral rites were conducted here Monday afternoon from the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Paul, and were in charge of Rev. F. B. Cook, pastor of the Congregational Christian church of Covington, assisted by Rev. Walter C. Nash, pastor of the Lewisburg Methodist church, and Rev. W. E. Shriver, retired Methodist clergyman. Burial was made in the Lower Lewisburg cemetery.

Survivors, besides the husband, are one son, Russell Leiter of Columbus; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Paul and Mrs. Glenna Barnheiser of Lewisburg; two step-sons, one residing in Covington and the other in California; three brothers, Daniel Weaver of Lewisburg, Virgil Weaver of Verona and Raymond Weaver of Brookville, and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Petersime's first husband, Harry Leiter, died in May 1934 and five and a half years ago, she was married to Mr. Petersime. Mr. and Mrs. Leiter moved here in 1914 from Gettysburg and she continued to live here until she married Mr. Petersime.
