Funeral services for Mrs. Zela Inez Stroder Ritchie, of Pioneer, Louisiana will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the Mt. Zion Church of God, 881 Mt. Zion Road, Oak Grove, Louisiana. with Reverends David Sistrunk and Jason Madden officiating. Committal services and burial will follow at McGaha Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Decmeber 14th, at Mt. Zion Church of God.
Mrs. Zela Ritchie was born at Pioneer, Louisiana on April 9, 1958 to the late Emil Thomas Stroder and Bethel Louise Clay Stroder. She passed away at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe on December 12, 2022. Along with her parents Zela is preceeded in death by two brothers, Marion Thomas Stroder and Jeffrey Dale Stroder.
Mrs. Ritchie is survived by her husband Tommy Lee Ritchie of Pioneer, Louisiana; two sons, Kevin Ritchie and his wife, Jessica Ritchie of Rogersville, Tennessee and Jeffery Ritchie and his wife, Tiwana Ritchie of Vancleave, Mississippi. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kate Lee Ritchie, Kaleb Matthew Ritchie, Justin Miller, Chasidy Miller, Jena Miller, Wesley Collins, and Kyle Collins; a brother, Randy Stoder of Mer Rouge, Louisiana; and four sisters, Janie Stroder of Little Rock, Arkansas, Vicki Lynn Drurey of Epps, Louisiana, Pattie Berry of Pioneer, Louisiana, and Peggy Saik of Florence Mississippi.
Serving as Mrs. Ritchie's pallbearers are Mitchell Ritchie, Charles Townsend, Jeremy Ferrell, Jacob Evans, Joe Ford, and Jim Boyles.
