Known by a variety of nicknames: "C.J.", "Brother", "Honey", "Cleefah", as well as "Sleepy".


Beloved husband of 61 years of the late Doris George LeBlanc.

Survived by children Kathryn A. Richard, David P. LeBlanc and Cindy L. Martinez; son-in-law Javier Martinez; grandchildren Laura C. Richard, Wendy, Emily and Steven LeBlanc, Melissa L. Hihar, Blake, Jessica, and Mandy Martinez; and two great grandchildren, Patrick LeBlanc and Halie Hihar; nephew Paul D. Koehler, grandnephew Todd D. Koehler and grandniece Janel C. Koehler; brother-in-law Danny P. Noto; and first cousins Shirley Callahan DiGiovanni, Ronald J. Lampley, Lynn J. Callahan, and Carl J. LeBlanc.

Preceded in death by parents, Agnes Duet LeBlanc and Clifford Joseph LeBlanc; son Kenneth G. LeBlanc; grandson Ricky P. Horrigan; sister Ruby L. Koehler; father-in-law Joseph Melancon; and brother-in-law Henry D. George.

Grandson of Mathilde Elizabeth Hebert and Adam Valcourt Duet; and Alida Sonier and Wilfred J. LeBlanc.


A native and longtime resident of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie since 1967.

US Navy World War II Veteran, former owner of Handy Radio and Television Shop in New Orleans in the 1950s (Prentiss @ St. Roch Avenues) and 1960s (Chef Menteur Hwy.).

Retired Electrician and member International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local # 130.

Owned a home in Bay St. Louis, MS, where he spent many days fishing, boating, and enjoying the atmosphere and the beauty of the place, a home he built with his own hands.


We are still in shock that you gave us no warning you'd be leaving us so soon. We were hoping for several more good years with you. Our comfort is knowing you did not suffer, you died doing something you loved, and that you are with our beloved family members and beloved pets who have gone before us. We miss you terribly.



Funeral Services at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Friday, 22 February 2008 at 12:00 noon with The Reverend Kathryn Richard officiating. Visitation began at 10:00 AM.


Interment in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery Mausoleum, New Orleans, Louisiana.
