Homer, Ill., Feb. 15.—Mrs. Lucy Spencer died here on Friday morning, after an illness extending over several months. Mr. Spencer was born in Homer on December 1, 1856, and resided in and around Homer practically all of her life. She was a daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. W. A. Spencer in August, 1895. Mr. Spencer survives, as do a sister, Mrs. E. P. Babb, of Champaign and four brothers, Dr. F. M., C. A. and A. J. Conkey, of this place, and Fred Conkey, of Howe, Ind.
The funeral probably will be held at the Presbyterian church on next Monday afternoon at 2:30. Burial will be in the G. A. R. cemetery.
