Gilp Thomas Daugherty, Sr. 77 of White Bluff, Route 2, were held Sunday afternoon, April 22, 1973, at 2:30 at the White Bluff Church of Christ, conducted by the David Mosley, with burial in the Williams Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Dickson Funeral Home. Mr. Daugherty, died Friday morning, April 20, at his home. He was a native of Dickson County son of the late Joe and Elizabeth Luke Daugherty. He was a retired employee of the NC & St. L. Railroad and was a member of the church of Christ
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lizzie Taylor Daugherty of White Bluff; three daughters; Mrs. Maude Sullivan, Mrs Naomi Hutchins, and Miss Elsie Daugherty all of White Bluff; Six sons Joe William Daugherty of Nashville, John B Daughtery of Kingston Springs, Laurence Daugherty of Burns, Oscar Lee, Leslie and Gilp Daugherty, Jr. all of White Bluff; one sister, Miss Edna Daugherty of White Bluff; one brother, Demsey Daugherty of White Bluff; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
