Then, in the days of burlesque, he went from town to town with comedy partner Lou Reels, leaving audiences roaring. He also toured with Joe DeRita, or "Curly Joe" from the Three Stooges. Livingston gave up touring in 1956 after winning $140,000 in the Irish Sweepstakes. He married singer Marcella Jones in 1932 who was touring with Morton Downey. She, however, died in 1972.

After he quit the comedy circuit, Livingston became a managing partner for his son's theater company, which was based in Atlantic City. Father and son retired in 1978.
