Ovella Davis, 81, of Sterling Heights, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2008. She was born June 1, 1926, in Vincennes, Ind.
Relatives said Mrs. Davis was a wonderful wife and mother who lived for her family. She will be sadly missed by everyone.
She is survived by her children, Charles (Nancy), Tim (Janis), Cheryl (Boyd) Carnell and Mark (Lisa); grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer), Robert (Wendy), Kevin, Jeffrey (Sherrie), David (Jessica), Danielle, Tammy, Chane, Chelsea and Brooke; great-grandchildren, Alex, Shelby, Ian, Drake, Faith, Addison, Dustin, Alexis and Linszey; siblings, Norma Sullivan, Clara Ingle, Marie Witteried, Charlotte Samsil, and Roger (Linda) Fellows; and niece, Deborah Maniace.
She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Clyde; and great-grandchildren, Devon and Braydon.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Wujek-Calcaterra and Sons, 36900 Schoenherr Road at Metropolitan Parkway (16 Mile Road), Sterling Heights. Interment will take place in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
Visitation is 3-9 p.m. today.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Cranbrook Hospice.
