Aunt Betty and my mother Dorothy were the only surviving children of my grandparents (Clarence & Hester Beil). There was a male child that died at birth.

Elizabeth C. Patton, 87, of 313 S. 13th St., Lebanon, died Saturday, January 6, 2007, in The Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born November 4, 1919, in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Clarence R. and Hester E. Shott Beil. She was a member of Cornwall United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Rexmont Fire Company and the Lebanon County Fire Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are daughters Gloria E., spouse of Ray S. Balmer of Manheim, and Nila L., spouse of Bruce D. Reich of Lebanon; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Charles E. Patton on Jan. 9, 1998, and a son Gordon E. Patton. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 13, 2007, at 10 a.m. in Christman's Funeral Home Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon. Memorials to Lititz First Church of God, 33 Center St., Lititz, PA 17543.
