OBITUARY reads:
EMMA K.LOERTCHER
Emma Katherine Loertcher was born Dec. 7, 1879 in Leavenworth, Kansas, and died Dec. 21, 1911 in Des Moines.
She was married June 26, 1906 in Belleville, Ill., to Frank Parker. She leaves behind a husband, father, mother, two sisters and two brothers.
At the age of 15 she moved to St. Louis, Mo., from Versalles, Mo., where she lived until 1907 when she moved to Des Moines.
Her sister, Mrs. Nellie Mintman of St. Louis, Mo. was with her at her deathbed. She looked forward to a bright futurity. Prayer was her last living act, she repeated the Lord's Prayer. The funeral was held in the Methodist Church in Norwalk, conducted by pastor, Rev. Armstrong using text found in 1 Thess. 4:14.
"There is no death! The stars go down
To rise upon some fairer shore;
And bright in Heaven's jeweled crown
They shine forever more."
