LOWELL - Clercie Ivalee Bowen, 97, of Lowell died Feb. 11, 2008, at her home. She was born June 12, 1910, in Newton County to James William and Mary Jane Arrington Gibbins.

She was a member of the United Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Albert Bowen, on April 24, 1976, two sons, Ibert Bowen and Eugene Bowen, two daughters, Pauline Morris and Ina Mae Overton, one grandson, Gerald Henry, one granddaughter, Debra Bowen.

Survivors include one son, Leo Bowen and wife Caroline of Marble; one daughter, Marjorie Henry of Lowell; 18 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 32 great-great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville with the Rev. Denver Cochran and the Rev. Norman Cline officiating.

Burial will be in Kingston Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Keith Henry, Larry Henry, Billy Bowen, Randy Overton, Gary Bowen and Ronnie Bowen.
