Vida Mae Wadman Poppleton passed away on July 31, 2007 due to complications from a fall.

Born July 4, 1922 in Ogden Utah to James and Vida Shupe Wadman. Married Frank [Gunnell] Poppleton on August 6, 1938. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple on February 23, 1944.

She lived in Los Angeles California from 1944 - 1979. She was employed by the Los Angeles transit authority for 35 years. When she and Frank retired they moved back to Wellsville Utah.

Vida had three great loves in her life. Her husband Frank, her family and temple work. She was married to Frank for 68 years and her thoughts were always on his well being. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 37 greatgrandchildren. She made a tireless effort to always remember them on their birthdays and special occasions. She served for 21 years with her husband in the Logan Temple and after her release she made regular attendance to the Temple a high priority.

Survived by her husband Frank, sons, Max (Florence), Merlyn (Judith); grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Val and Milton. Preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 3 sisters and her granddaughter Julie.

The family would like to express special thanks to the Wasatch Care Center for their care and concern during her final days, and to all those who provided love and support during her illness.

"We love you and we will miss you."

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 3, 2007 in the Wellsville 3rd Ward Chapel, 700 South 100 West, in Wellsville.
