Billy Dee Posey, 60, formerly of Lamar County, died Saturday, 28 Oct 1995, at Azel Hospital. Graveside services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Springtown Cemetery by White's Funeral Home.
Mr. Posey was born 14 July 1935, in Caviness, a son of Willie David and Cora Spears Posey. He was a graduate of Blossom High School. He married LaVerne Shipp 20 July 1956, in Ft. Worth. He was a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church in Azel and had worked for the Ft. Worth Water Department for 32 years and retired as superintendent.
Surviving are his wife; a son Floyd King; three daughters, Teresa Cobb, Delores Hulsey and , Cathy Moore; three sisters, Maurine Bryant, Virene Golden and Betty Wright; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty LaVerne Millsap, in 1980.
