Sarah Arment was born about 1815 in North Carolina--probably Guilford County. She married William Steward in Vermillion Co., IN on August 15, 1841. The family moved to Vermilion County, Illinois before the 1850 census. By 1880 Sarah and her husband, William, were living with daughter, Maria May, and her husband, R.C. Grace (looks like Goace in 1880 census), in South Homer Township in Champaign County, Illinois. This is probably less than 20 miles from Woodlawn Cemetery in Vermilion County, where her husband and other Steward relatives are buried. It seems most likely Sarah is buried there, too.
