George Robert Posey of 529 14th. St. NE died at his sister's home in Detroit about 3:30 a.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Fry & Gibbs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Bill Draper of First Baptist Church, Detroit, will officiate. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Posey was born May 18, 1930, in the old Camp Maxey area in Lamar County, the son of the late William David (Willie) and Cora Spears Posey. He was a longtime employe of City Electric in Paris, working with the firm since 1948. He attended public schools in Blossom. He was a motor winder. He had been in ill health the last six months.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs Ray (Maurine) Bryant, Mrs Virene Golden and Mrs. Betty Smith; one brother, Billy D. Posey; several nieces and nephews.
