David Allen Barber, age 82 of Mingo, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022, at MercyOne Medical Center in Newton. Graveside memorial services will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 1:00 pm at McKeever Cemetery north of Colfax. Memorials may be directed to the family and condolences left at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

The son of Henry and Mary Bernis (Jordan) Barber, David was born on June 21, 1940 in Appanoose County, Iowa. He graduated from Moulton High School. On July 23, 1960 he was united in marriage to Janet Elaine Glasgow in Moulton. David worked at Maytag and John Deere before he and Janet moved to the family farm where they raised their family and milked cows until retiring in 2006.

Those left to honor his memory include his two sons, Randall Allen Barber and Kevin David (Teresa) Barber; five grandchildren, Curtis (Kylie) Barber, Calvin (Jennie) Barber, Kayla (Cody) Robinson. Jeanette Lowe and Cody Barber and 14 great grandchildren, Kimball, Elektra, Gavin, Tristen, Lukah, Addison, Beckett, GraceRyan, Cole, Josie, Brock, Morgan, Hasiley and Jackson. Preceding him in death were his parents, wife in 2020 and five brothers, Harold, Gerald, Vance, Wayne and Harry.
