Sunny was born on July 18, 2003 in Nashville, Tennessee to Shannon and Natalie Gant.
Sunny's favorite color was blue, and he loved playing basketball and football. His second family was with the Riverdale Football Team, where he played for four years. Sunny was a proud 2021 graduate of Riverdale High School. A talented musician who was just beginning to come into his own through writing lyrics and performing, Sunny was loved beyond words. He never knew a bad day and wouldn't allow anyone in his presence to ever feel sad. Always the prankster, Sunny was known for pouring water on his little sister while she slept and agitating Coach K. for no other reason than simply to make his teammates laugh.
Sunny's nickname originated from his Uncle Sonny, but his mom changed the spelling to "Sunny" because he lit up everyone's life. During Sunny's short time here, he lived life to the fullest and was always ready for the next adventure. He was funny, caring, loving, intelligent, a hard worker, and polite, however, just like most typical teenagers, he never could quite manage to clean up his room. Sunny will be forever remembered for many different reasons but anyone who encountered him will never forget his sweet southern charm and signature big, cheeky smile that was a ray of sunshine wherever he went.
Sunny's memory will also forever live on in the hearts of his mother, Natalie Gant; father, Shannon Gant; his brothers, Julien Martin, Ronta Turner, Dantel Gant and Damani Gant; sisters, Kendall Gant, Tatiana Gant, Crystal Herron and Alexis Crouch; grandmother, Angela Blackwell; nephews, Jakobe, Jacorii and Isaiah Martin, Dantel Gant Jr. and Zachari Gant; his niece, Nyomii-Alice Martin; countless other family and friends who knew him.
