Shelby - Perrin Wardlaw "Ward" Berry, 65, died Aug. 21, 2002 at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill.
He was born in Rock Hill to the late L. E. and Ada Perrin Berry, retired from A. V. Wray's as a buyer and was a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sue Potts Berry of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Terry Peep of Asheville; daughter Mary Susan Berry of Lincolnton, and a sister, Margaret Berry of Lexington.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday at John Knox Presbyterian Church with visitation following the service.
