OBITUARY: East Liverpool Daily Crisis, East Liverpool, Columbiana Co., OH. Thursday, 12 Jan 1893.

"At 11:45 Tuesday night William B. Allison, an aged resident of Second Street, this city, after but a few weeks' illness, his ailments arising from old age mainly, passed peacefully to sleep. The deceased was born in Washington County, PA, on the 06 Mar 1806, and while but a youth moved with his parents to a farm in Hancock (then Brooke) county, on the hills directly opposite the East End of this city, where they resided until Apr 1830, when he was united in marriage to Mrs. Fannie Wilcoxen, to whom he had five children, four of whom are living, viz: Charles B. Allison and Mrs. Fannie Susan Byran, of this city, and Thomas and Richard Allison, of Iowa. After the death of the first wife he was again married, on 26 May 1845, to Miss Nancy Ann Goddard, to whom he had eleven children, ten of whom are living, viz; Mrs. Mary E. Johnston, Albert L. (Allison), James E. (Allison), Mrs Sarah B. Bowles, and George (Allison), all of this city; William B. Allison Jr., St. Clair township; Mrs Harriet A. Newman, Mrs. Gilson, Madison Township; Steenrod Allison, of Wellsville, and
Rosa B. Hill, of Tiltonville. During the last two weeks of illness he was partially demented, and required careful watching to keep in bed. About fifteen years ago he sold his property in Grant district and moved to a farm in Madison Township, this county, where he resided until about four years since. His first wife lies in Fairveiw cemetery, but his remains will be interred in Spring Grove, this city, at a date to be determined by the answers from telegrams sent to the two sons in Iowa. The funeral, however, will not take place before to - morrow. Although well up in years, the deceased carried his age well, and in appearance did not look to the causal observer to be any older than his oldest son, Charles B., although between their ages there was a difference of twenty-five years"
