Asheville ~ Doris Evelyn McMinn Layman, 78, of Asheville, died Monday, May 24, 2004 in a local hospital.
A native of Henderson County, Mrs. Layman was a daughter of the late Annie Garren McMinn and John McMinn.
Mrs. Layman was a retired clerical worker for Southern Bell Telephone Company and was a member of the Southern Bell Telephone Pioneers. She was a member of Biltmore United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a brother, John McMinn and his wife, Relma of Hendersonville and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Shephed Memorial Park in Naples
