Willa D. Koontz, 88, of Victoria passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018. She was born November 1, 1929 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Otto Rogers and Sylvia Harris Haskell.
She is survived by her son, Henry Penland of Houston; daughters, Linda Dasch and Laura Penland both of Luling, Louisiana, Barbi Heilker of Austin and Vicky Nichols of Houston; sisters, Betty Koontz, Katherine Miller, Patricia Mayo, Rita Nauman; brother, Marshall Rogers; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Koontz was preceded in death by husband, Clarence Koontz; a daughter, Lenora Brossette; son, Ray L. Penland, Jr.; and brothers, Earl, Donald, Wayne and Gary Rogers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with the funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm.
The graveside service will be held at 3:30 pm at the Hawley Cemetery in Blessing, Texas and will begin with a Gold Star Mother's Service.
Pallbearers will be Stephanie Britt, John Joyce, Robert Marek, Robert Penland, Joshua Penland and Travis Penland. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mikey Joyce, Wade Ryan, Jeremy Dasch and Seth Brossette.
