Grover was a son of Richard Clemsen and Francis Corson.

His siblings included Lily, Thomas, Harry, Samuel, Annie B., Albert, Margie, Minnie and Willie Clemsen.

Mr. Clemsen obtained a marriage license on Dec 29, 1904 in Baltimore City and married Minnie Hasenei soon after. They did not have children.

He was born in Baltimore City and attended the public schools there. In 1911, Grover went to work for American Brass in Anasonia, CN. In 1918 he was general foreman of the hot rolling mill. He retired in 1953. He was a member of Master Builders Lodge 911, F & AM, and the Foremen's Club of the American Brass Co.
