Thomas J. Perkes, 83, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022, at his home in Moore, Idaho.

He was born April 11, 1939, in Rose, Idaho to Asa Virgil and Ethel Belnap Perkes. Tommy as he was known by his family and friends, was raised in the Lost River Valley. As a youth, he worked hard alongside his family as they ranched and farmed up and down the valley.

On June 27, 1964, Tommy married the love of his life, Frances Grace Keele. They were married in Leslie, Idaho, and made their home in Moore, Idaho. They were blessed with five children. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on June 8 1966. Tommy worked numerous jobs to provide for his family. He owned and operated a dairy, farmed, and ranched, was the custodian at the LDS church, drove school bus, delivered newspapers, and owned a lawn care service.

Tommy enjoyed watching local sports, was an avid ice fisherman, liked to get that hard-to-reach tree for firewood, and loved visiting with his grandchildren most of all.

Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Frances Grace Keele Perkes; his children, John, Lynn, Brian, Crystal, and Ivan; his 11 grandchildren, his brothers, Robert, Leon, Theo, and M. Todd; his sisters, Jean, Rebecca, Beth, and too many nieces and nephews to count.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Asa and Ethel Perkes, and a stepmother, Myrdean Clark Perkes, his brothers, James, John, Don, Duane, and Asa Perkes, his sisters, Joyce Loftus, Kathryn Kennedy, and Nancy Perkes.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Moore Stake Center, 3100 N. 3350 W., Moore, ID. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at the Anderson Family Funeral Home, 2555 N. Highway 93, Arco, ID and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Lost River Cemetery.
