Mrs. Leggett, 86, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at home with her loving family by her side. She was born on May 30, 1936, in Wesson, MS, to Clyde Hennington and Velma Mae Ray Hennington. She was a member of Easthaven Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS. She taught children in Sunday School at several different churches. Betty Lou was a woman who loved Jesus and taught others by example of that faith in the way she lived her life. She loved yardwork and her flowers. She was a very loving person who cherished her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents Clyde and Velma Mae Hennington; husband, Lynis Leggett; daughter, Dianna Lee Leggett; and brother Eddie Lee Hennington.
Survivors are her daughters, Lynn Price, Kay Buckels (Mark) and Christy Leggett (Mike Newell); grandchildren, Chad R. Smith, Jenny E. Price and Taylor D. Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Brody Banks, Justin Hudson, D'ana Gambino and Jazlyn Price; and a host of family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Luke Hospice and staff and Clint's Pharmacy.
