James Mark Dollar, 61 went to his eternal home on November 27, 2022. He was born on November 11, 1961 in Demopolis, AL to James Jackson "Jimmy" Dollar and Carol Maurine Durkin Dollar. He was a college graduate and worked as a comptroller for Parr's Chevron.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother John "Tommy" Dollar and his nephew James Jackson "Jay" Dollar II. He is survived by his wife, Nanette Lawson Dollar; his son, Matthew Lawson Dollar (fiance Abby Hollis); his sisters-in-law: Carol Lawson Connell (David) of Hattiesburg, MS, and Sandra Lawson of Eastaboga, AL; his niece Hilary Dollar Wallace; his great nephew Samuel Sercy Wallace; and his great niece Sipsey Grace Wallace.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Demopolis. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm also in the church. A graveside service will follow at the Demopolis Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Carl Williams officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Demopolis Chapel directing.
